Years ago, I surveyed people on Twitter (now X) about their beliefs on whether space aliens exist. I divided survey respondents by whether they were believers or nonbelievers in God. The results were striking, as numerous nonbelievers affirmed the possibility of space aliens while numerous believers did not. People have been fascinated by the possibility of space aliens for decades.
In the United States, the fascination with aliens may stem from newspaper headlines in 1947, where reporters claimed Roswell (New Mexico) Army Air Field personnel captured a “flying saucer” on a ranch. Since that time, thousands of people have claimed “close encounters of the third kind,” which was represented well by a blockbuster movie of the same name by Steven Spielberg in 1977. Google artificial intelligence (AI) defines the third kind as “UFO sightings where an animated entity, such as aliens, robots, or humanoids, is observed in or around an unidentified craft, representing direct contact.”
I have never paid much attention to reports of “unidentified flying objects” (UFOs) or “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (AEPs), but millions of people do. Accounts of encounters with these “residual UFOs” are abundant and can be accessed easily with simple internet searches. Their claims include multiple pilots witnessing “tic tac” candy shaped UFOs flying at extraordinary speeds and defying gravity in baffling ways. They further include a conspiracy that the U.S. government has been hiding dead “biologics,” or space aliens and other information related to UFOs.
Some have proposed that the government has been hiding UFO secrets since they would rather protect our expensive energy sources (oil, gas, coal, nuclear, etc.) than reveal the type of cheap energy that these UFOs seem to have harnessed, based on the earth’s electromagnetic field. News outlets today reported that a 9th scientist who had been investigating UFOs passed away or disappeared under unusual circumstances (Smith, 2026). These kinds of reports have led some to believe in a giant conspiracy. Is the government hiding something? What’s going on?
Are any of these claims true? When we witness multiple legitimate military and commercial pilots who have reported witnessing these flying “tic tacs” that defy gravity, we should not assume witnesses are all conspiring to lie to us. When we read of a multitude of “alien abduction” reports from all over the world, we should also not assume a giant conspiracy. So what is it? Are these tic tac UFOs manned by space aliens or some sort of top governmental secret? Are these reports of alien abductions based on true abductions by space aliens?
The answers are complicated, but we can drill down a bit for partial answers. Any government secrets are far beyond the knowledge of the present blogger. But whether space aliens are on our planet is not.
We know from science that there are no inhabitable planets near us. It would be impossible for any carbon-based life form (like us) to travel from any potentially inhabitable planet in the universe because any potentially inhabitable planet is thousands of light years away from us.
Stefan Molyneux posted this on X: “We truly cannot comprehend how far away the closest star system is. A spaceship traveling at the speed of sound – 1,235 km/h – would take 3.8 million years to reach Alpha Centauri. Even the X-15’s blistering record of 7,274 km/h would still take ~75,000 years. No aliens, bros.”
Astronomers such as Dr. Hugh Ross have proposed an alternative: demons. He has been on my YouTube channel multiple times and has been investigating alien claims for decades. Click here to watch his video: https://www.youtube.com/live/-q_CD8GjpBU. Dr. Hugh Ross observed that reports of UFOs and alien abductions seem to concide with occult activity. In places with high levels of occult activity, such as Russia in one of his visits, reports were high. In places with low levels, reports are low. Practicing divination and occultism is very dangerous, as it opens portals to the demonic world. Sadly, the West has opened doors to these portals. Vice President J.D. Vance concurs that “space aliens” are demons, as do multiple exorcists, such as Father Chad Ripperger.
I agree with these assertions. Demons are fallen angels. According to the Bible, God created the angels and a third of them rebelled against him, falling from the heavens to the earth. Fallen angels are demons. Since they knowingly rejected the light and love of God, they are now in a never-ending spiral of evil and darkness. Those who have encountered them in this world in a demonic attack have reported “pure” hatred and anger. Consider numerous accounts of “demonic sleep paralysis” as evidence.
But demons are also deceptive. They can pretend to be friends. Witness David Grusch claimed that the beings with whom he had been interacting were friendly and merely trying to connect with us. Consider that the exorcists who analyze these claims, such as Father Chad Ripperger, note that the “friendly” encounters always include a claim that Jesus is not the only way to heaven. Jesus is the only way to heaven. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through the Son. If you are suffering, call on Jesus to save you. He saves and loves all.
We cannot see the spiritual world but demons rage on our earth in an attempt to guide souls to their own miserable fate of eternal torment. In numerous passages in the Old Testament, angels appeared as men to complete a mission guided by God. Hebrews 13:2 states, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” But let us not assume that demons cannot also take on life-like forms. We really cannot rule out the possibility that they could also take on a green or grey “Martian” alien forms.
